Student visa
International students are required to have a valid student visa during their stay in New Zealand. Once you have received an Offer of Place from us and you have paid your tuition fees, you should apply for a student visa from your nearest Immigration New Zealand office (contact the New Zealand Embassy or High Commission for details). Accommodation
There are plenty of options for accommodation from backpackers accommodation to homestays. We can assist in giving you the right advice to help you find something that will suit you and your lifestyle.

Our team will support and guide you on your employment journey. A range of workshops and one to one support is provided around your curriculum vitae (CV), cover letter, job search, interview skills and more.
We work with multiple employers to make sure you are well equipped for success. Our aim is to create future opportunities for all of our students and graduates.

Living costs
In addition to Aspire2’s tuition fee and course related costs, Immigration New Zealand estimate living expenses (inclusive of accommodation) to be at least $20,000 NZD per annum or ($1,667 per month of study). Check out these handy links to help you budget:

Healthcare and Insurance
Most international students are not entitled to publicly funded health services while in New Zealand. If you receive medical treatment during your visit, you may be liable for the full costs of that treatment. Full details on entitlements to publicly-funded health services are available through the Ministry of Health, and can be viewed on their website at www.moh.govt.nz
Medical insurance
International students must have appropriate and current medical and travel insurance while studying in New Zealand. It must include cover for student travel to and from New Zealand for the duration of time that the student is enrolled. We can arrange students’ insurance through OrbitProtect (for more information go to www.orbitprotect.co.nz).
Alternatively, students can arrange their own insurance, and they must provide proof of suitable insurance at the time of enrolment.

ACC
The Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) provides accident insurance for all New Zealand citizens, residents and temporary visitors to New Zealand, but you may still be liable for all other medical and related costs. Further information can be viewed on the ACC website at www.acc.co.nz
Fee protection and refund
Student Fee Protection
The New Zealand Government requires that all New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) registered Private Training Establishments must protect all student fees paid to them in advance. We are registered for Fee Protect through the Public Trust, which has unsecured capital guarantee from the New Zealand Government (For further information visit www.feeprotect.co.nz)
Student Withdrawals and Fee Refunds
Our fee refund policy is in accordance with the Education Act 1989 and amendments and applies to international and domestic students. Refer to page 25 of the Student Handbook for all information about our Withdrawal Policy and refunds.
What happens at Orientation?
Orientation is filled with loads of valuable information that will help you to settle into your student life with Aspire2 International.
First up, we’ll introduce you to the friendly Student Support team who are there for YOU. If you have any concerns or need some help, please ask for assistance.
Then we’ll teach you about insurance cover, how to open a bank account, safety in the city – and cover all the specific support services we provide.

Our processes and practices will ensure that we deliver our objectives, and we are committed to involving you in ensuring that they work. Along with this we will review our processes and practices to make sure they continue to work for you.

Dispute Resolution
If a dispute arises during your study, it is important to talk to us. We will work to find a solution as outlined on pages 19 and 20 of the Student Handbook.
NZQA will consider complaints that relate to your overall study experience and concerns you may have with our implementation of the Code. For more information go to NZQA Learner Complaints
If the unresolved complaint relates to a financial concern, your fees or enrolment contract, then you can contact Study Complaints/Ngā amuamu tauira. They can facilitate either a consensus-based resolution or independent dispute adjudication.
