Licence Controller Qualification (LCQ) Short Course
NZQA credit
By law, any business that sells alcohol must have an staff member with a Licence Controller Qualification (LCQ) in charge at all times. LCQ is also the prescribed qualification required to demonstrate that those applying for, or renewing, their Manager’s Certificate have received recent and relevant training as set out in the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012. This is a nationally recognised qualification which was developed by ServicelQ, the Industry Training Organisation for New Zealand’s hospitality industry.
